Smokey Carrot Smother Sauce

I gave Jose Andres’ Sopa de Ajo recipe a roasted, pureed carrot base. Then subtracted the bread and egg and added chipotle chile powder. And then I put it on a burrito, and I slept well that night. This rich, garlicky, smokey blender sauce is easy and versatile. Smother burritos, eggs, potatoes, rice bowls, pasta dishes, you name it.
